San San Single Eyeshadow

For this review I'm going to feature 3 eyeshadows from San san's single eyeshadows collection.

If I'm not mistaken they have a total of 20 shades.. 5 are matte and the other 15, I believe are shimmer.

Each shadows is only 50 pesos. I got some of mine on sale. Got it for 35 pesos. This December I believe HBC is very generous by providing its clients some discounts this xmas season.

Let's go to the review.. The highlights of these eyeshadows are the following:
1. Pigmented
2. Affordable
3. Easy to blend
4. Longevity is pretty good (even If I dont put eye primer)

The fact that it is a single shadow and is not in a palette for me has its pros in cons. For cons, you have to purchase each one by one. Whereas in palette you can buy for example 12 colors under 150 pesos (Shawill Eyeshadow- will do review soon). But hey it's not like you can use everything.

Now the pros! If its your fave color then hey you have a good amount at a good price. I got 3 shades, I use these multipurposely!

1. Deep Earth Brown- as shadow, this will give you a natural eye hollow. I also use this for conturing my nose. It stays pretty good.. Lasty this is what i use to fill in my brow after lining it with a pencil. This is a sample.
*using Deep earth brown

*Vanilla Bean and Ash Gray

2. Vanilla Bean- as a shadow, it will give you that serene touch. Perfect for higlighting the eye and browbone. I also use this for highlighting the cheekbone, after my blush.. :)

3. Ash Gray- perfect for someky eyes. Recommended for the outer V of our eyeshadow. Lastly, I use this for setting in my black eyeliner. Prevents it from smudging and setting it on place all day long.

Now this is the end for my review. All in all I recommend this prodcut. Not all though, only your fave colors and the one you can most play with and use multipurposely.

Thanks for reading.. :)

Avon Simply Pretty Powder

Do you have oily skin? Well most of us have oily to combination type of skin.

I've tried 3 or 4 pressed powder before but I have to say this one is my fave! :)

*I think this is the latest packaging

*It has a mirror and a puff. These are the ingredients.

Im in the shade Almond. I think they have 3 to 4 shades. From my seller, she has 3 shades on hand the Soft Bisque (lightest) Almond (yellow to light) and Natural (morena).

I got this for 99 pesos!  :)

I think the regular price is 135 php, which is still affordable.

Likes

Save not splurge!

Hello everyone! This first post of mine will be the introduction for my blog. Well basically I will just point out things why I came up with this Shimmer (being that fierce-head-turning-diva) by being in sage (spending wisely, SAVE SAVE SAVE) ..

I'm not really a make up addict until I saw a very hot item on instagram. Its the Naturactor Concealer that had a lot of good reviews. Since it was my birth month, I was like hey why dont I give it a try.. Its around 650 pesos.. Plus the pressed powder that is also around 650 pesos. Plus the shipping fee.. Then the money transfer fee...... So MAHAL!! So there I tried it! Pakkk! I was a good product! But dang.. After 2 days I BROKE OUT!!!

I was is denial.. I thought was just hormones but it was not!

*Naturactor concealer and powder, Fanny Serrano True light lip gloss, Lebelage eyeshadow and eyeliner (bought this 2 @300 pesos)

So this brought me to realizations..

To Save and not to splurge..

1. Quality and quantity- Branded products usually have good quality. Nevertheless it's way better to have A LOT of good quality products by being a wise spender.

2. Guilt Free- when you buy expensive products and then end up hating it like I did, you'll be a broke chick with bad break outs.. Ehem!

3. Pinay Beauty- local cosmetics are cheaper than imported ones (you wont pay for the shipping fees, taxes etc). We do have a lot of good and quality products specifically made for the Pinay skin and the Philippines' weather. Knowing us Pinoys, we do have a lot of dupes to the higher end products..

So there you go! Off to my next blog..
